Dining with sea views! For great infused flavours cuisine in a beachfront setting Joust is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A chic yet informal estalishment is what owners Joy & Justin Stedmances instigated when completely renovating this old eating house. With 30 years in the restaurant industry, Joy's previous ventures include the development of Ocean's Restaurant in Takapuna and Epsom, and more recently the set up and management of One Italy restaurant in Newmarket. The busy open-plan kitchen gives the high-stooled bar patrons plenty of flamed entertainment while drinks are dispensed from the Beach Bar. While the decor boasts shades of shiraz, the red-hot attraction is the food of Justin Stedmances. With a firm New Zealand influence, his innovative menus are created from his talent of combining the most unlikely flavours into one finely balanced and excellently executed dish. |
You are welcome to enjoy a drink at Joust's beach bar, or lounge back in one of our day beds with a glass of bubbly and some antipasto - the perfect way to unwind after a tough day's work. Joust's daybed etiquette dictates kicking off your sandy thongs or Prada mules before lounging back to sip on Grandin, chosen from the generous selection of bubbles in the central glass display case.

The Backyard The outside area, known as 'the Backyard', is at the rear of the Restaurant and can accommodate up to 60 people for casual dining and conferences. The Backyard has an opening roof for the Coast's abundance of sunny days, and is equipped with heating for the chillier days and nights. |
